On April 9 and 10, Boy Scout Brandon Roberts of Stafford led his Troop 97 (of the National Capitol Council Aquia District) in successfully rehabilitating Brisben’s well-worn playground area. They cleaned out the space and spread yards of new mulch, all in difficult weather conditions. Because the scouts and parents persevered, the Center’s children once again have a great playground area. Brandon raised funds, obtained materials and led the effort as his Eagle Scout project.
Everyone at the Brisben Center thanks Brandon, his fellow scouts in Troop 97, the parents, contributors, and the generous folks from Greystone Masonry in Stafford, who donated funds and free delivery of the mulch.
