Volunteer Opportunies

Listed below are some of our current volunteer opportunities. For more information on other ways you can help, contact Kim Lally, Director of Development.
- Children's Activities - Work with children of all ages in enrichment activities while their parents attend Life Skill classes. Needed on a weekly basis. Coordinate outside recreational activities for children of all ages; such as trips to parks, swimming, festivals and more.
- Meal (Lunch) Volunteers - Do you have a few hours to spare during the day? Assist our Food Services Coordinator with preparing lunches for our residents. Volunteers are encouraged to sit down and enjoy lunch with the residents after the initial serving of the meal. Must be available between 9:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Any day of the week.
- Ground Maintenance Volunteer(s) - Clean and maintain the grounds surrounding the Thurman Brisben Center. Responsibilities include cutting grass, pulling weeds and sweeping sidewalks. Some yard equipment available. Hours are flexible and can be done any day of the week.
- Donation Delivery Driver - Pick up and transport donated furniture to residents who have moved to permanent housing. Must be able to lift 50 + pounds and have truck or other large vehicle to transport items. This will be an On-Call position. Every effort will be made to provide volunteer(s) with 24 hour advance notice of items to be picked up.
- Sponsor a Drive - Canned Food, Toiletries, Linens, School Supplies, Birthday Bags and Office Supplies
