The Shelter has evolved into a respected and quality program that offers numerous ways of helping people regain self- sufficiency. Through multiple services , existing and new, we can meet the needs of almost any circumstance.

The Shelter has several computers that are available for residents to prepare resumes, learn to type, or do homework on. Formal computer training aids our residents in obtaining skills for gainful employment. Recently, TBC has partnered with Rappahannock Goodwill Industries and is now an authorized Job Readiness Satelitte Site.

Actual GED training on site has provided more than nine people their GEDs! Statistics show that a person's likelyhood of living in poverty is 22.8% without a high school education. With a high school education, that drops dramatically to 9.2%!

The SITES program began in October, 2000 after much planning and dedication on the part of numerous key staff.

Congratulations Carolyn and Jasman!

TBC's Case Managers have recently earned their Certification in Homeless Service Case Management. They worked hard the entire year and it paid off!
