On April 12, Myra Fox, founder of the recently established nonprofit Castle Lewis I Survived Foundation, and some great women who are a part of that foundation served our community’s homeless men, women and children at Brisben. According to Myra, these outgoing, take-charge, energetic women decided to prepare and serve a summer dinner of delicious hamburgers and hotdogs for residents — because it was past time for some real summer weather!
Thank you very much from everyone at Brisben!
(Note: When she was a child, Myra endured outrageous abuse at the hands of a caretaker, abuse so severe that it claimed the life of her sister, Castle Lewis. She created the foundation in honor of her sister. She also wrote two books that detail her harrowing ordeal: I Survived: A Murder Untold, Parts 1 and 2.)
